Soft Starter – Single Phase | Zodiac Compatible [SS1B16-32SN]

This is a universal soft starter to suit most single phase air conditioning and pool heater applications. The soft starter allows the compressor to start up slowly and gradually by increasing voltages to the compressor. This allows for a smooth acceleration of power instead of a sudden and violent burst of power that could potentially cause damage to the compressor and the unit as a whole. Must be used in conjunction with a contactor.
